Hello! My name is Pamela Macdonald. Welcome to my photography blog! I love to find images to photograph through even the tiniest details placed all around us. I also especially love gearing my work towards photographing babies, children, and families. It is extremely rewarding for me to be able to help others in this way. I've been told to 'do what makes your heart leap', and photography is one of the things that does just that for me. I have found it as one of my main creative outlets and I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunities to start this little photography business of mine. What inspires me? Plenty of things: the strength that is my husband, bright colors, a calm melody, Fall weather, babies, sunsets, laughter, rainy days, bright blue skies, brave integrity, elegant and graceful demeanor, and love. This blog is where you can see some of the products of that inspiration and my thoughts on them. You can read my ramblings, find out more about how I work, leave a comment, see how to book a session, and of course, view my growing collection of photographs! Thank you for visiting and taking the time to look around! Enjoy! [...Find Out More...]

[...Chris & Gen...]

Love this.In our faith, we believe that families can be together forever, and that marriages do not end in death, but a husband and wife can be together forever. I think this is one of the most beautiful things about what we believe to be true, and it's always so wonderful to find out a couple has been "sealed" (as our church calls it) to each other in one of our beautiful temples. This is a very sacred & special ceremony in the temple, and for us, just knowing that you can be with the people that you love so much (your husband, your wife, your parents, and your children) forever, and that you will see them again, is a wonderful and comforting fact. I know that my husband and my family are the most precious and important things to me, and it's wonderful to have an answer in knowing that I can see them again no matter what happens in this life.

Gen & Chris are some friends who were sealed together in June at the Los Angeles Temple. The entrance to the LA Temple :)
I LOVE to visit this temple. The grounds are beautiful and covered with pretty flowers, and there are a lot of great spots for photos. It's always so peaceful and calm there, I could just walk around those grounds all day. My husband and I like to go and visit the grounds and just sit on a bench and talk.Lovely.
Family and friends came to share this special day with them, and I had the opportunity to photograph their special day.Congrats, Gen & Chris!
Everyone was so happy for them, as I was too :)
:)
Gen & Chris arrived early in the morning with their family, and we took some quick portraits of them before they headed into the temple.Family
The lighting was perfect in the morning. It's in Santa Monica, close to the beach, so it was overcast and not too hot yet. Gen has two cute little brothers, Thomas & Ben, who I will show some photos of in a later post :)G & C with little brothers
And here's Gen and Chris with Gen's mother and step-dad. Such nice people!G&C with the parents
Later in the day, we went and took some photos of just the 2 of them together. I am so happy for them! :)Gen & Chris' Sealing DayLove. It was a great day, and they deserve all the happiness in the world.
Congratulations again, you guys! It was a pleasure to share this special day with you:)
